Dosent make since if their the only ones who can cloak every one of their ships...Oh no feds crossing the neutral zone! better research cloak detection because....oh thats right they dont use cloak, and the main enemy of the rommies are the feds and they base their tactics around that...See the point?

Theyre the ones who use cloaking tech the most, therefore theyre the ones who know how it all works....

Sure they know all about it, but the point is that they don't need it. The other races would have better use of it Wink .

Hmm, yet again twisting my words. Can you guys go for once without doing that?

I didnt say that the Roms would need it. Its blindingly obvious that the Feds etc would need cloak detection, i was just explaining that the Romulans would always be the ones who know how cloak detect tech works, cos theyre the experts in that line of science. I said nothing deeper than that.

NOW i'm saying something deeper. The feds really should have some kinda anti-cloak technology, if only on scouts or within bases.

they do have. their sensor stations have tachion detection and their starbases can perform a tachion scan (tachion scan energy costs have been reduced in "beta"3)

Why dont you instead of reducing the cost of scan increase the range of sensor starions cool
I think that would be better, so that sensor stations would have the range of atleast scouts

i really like that last idea, because if u think about it, the federation knew all that was going on close to the borders of the romulan's space

I say we add the cloaking upgrade to all ships along with weapons, shields and speed upgrades, and nothing will be the way it seems.

well i dont like the new way of tachion detection... i liked the original a2 grid.. where the sensor arrays detect them automaticly.. so if u forgot them or forgot to research it they run over it.. and i would like to get this way back... that was a lot more fun, from my point of view... specially it wouldnt even destroy the balance cause wit the int. center u could destroy them simply and get them ships in...

Isnt that how it is now or did I misunderstand you? Can't you just take out an enemys science stations now and take that cloak offline?

to be cannon all ships should have the ability to tachyon scan but just a scan that uses 1/2 special energy and lasts shorter then the sb, also i have something for the rommies.   In Starfleet Command  if you had cloaking  yiou had to slow down to avoid being targeted, FO shoulf have this too
