Well, anyway, don't usually mess around with the Borg, but just wanted to get a sense of power from them, you know, losing once in a while isn't so bad.. for me anyway..

Okay, so I put my base positon in the East (Yeah I know..) and the Borg on thw west. I am pretty good at making Starfleet Command real quick, build 3 Galaxies, 2 Nebulas, and 2 Streamrunners at an instant. This won't protect my base from a massice invasion, but I find htis extremely effective. The problem is that my crew drop a lot, and I need to build an extra outpost in my secondary base, which was located in the NorthEast dilityium and tritanium moons are located.

 Well, sooner or later, the Borg started to attack me with cubes, but my fleet repelled them thanks to the Streamrunner's tricobalt torpedoes. I built up my fleet, and once I had 3 full fleets, (48 ships) I started to build a fleet of Venture classes for exploration, since I didn't explore the map. By the time all the Venture classes were destroyed, I explored considerable amound of space, and I figured out the precice positon of the Borg Base.

  I waited until I had 8+ ships protecting my main base, and then I moved off for the attack. After the great battle, I lost half my fleet but I was able to construct another fleet, so I had about 2 1/2 of a fleet. So its 40 ships. I ordered them to search and destroy, then I found another base, located in the North West side, and I crushed them ,and I won!! Yay, first time to beat the Borg AI Hard!! Oh, and I recommend Excelsior II class and the Streamruinner class when fighting the Borg

Well, I know its boring, but I am so happy that I beat the Borg for the first time.  

yep nice job! you used many advantages of the federation and of course torpedo carriers are a good choice against the borg, cause all their battleships are large vessels

The Exlcesior II is an invunerable ship against everything  

thats why i dont use them the most time and switchin to a pack of the biggest through starport section, u know which one, dont remember the name now , and a bunch of akira... just for the cause of the their torps

I really did underestimate the power of the Streamrunner class ships, it fared in battle with Borg cubes exceptionally well than most Federation ships.  

yes, but if you know how to play with federation you'll find out that they can destroy any race, but first you must discover the tactics and ships that are effective against other races

I know Feds seem to have the lowest firepower of all ship classes, they seem to rely more on its shields (?!!) and defensive tactics. Oh, and also a 360 degree angle firepower for most ships.
