The 360 degree firing arc is what I love most about the feds because of the stupid movements of ships when attacking in Armada II. Alot of times when attacking the ships face away from their enemy so klingons and romulans get killed alot.

One of the things i like about the Feds is that they have the point defene special ability. I was able to destroy a cube with a galxy class, only using point defence.

im not a big fan of the point defense...it looks too much like a bunch of extra phasers firing...and ive never seen a federation starship use a point defense ever...i very rarely research it as i see no point to it...i mean if i could program my normal phasers to do point defense..i would...but otherwise i don't wanna see a bunch of phaser beams firing out while im attacking an enemy...its not very trek like... i would rather save the resources needed to research it and use them to build a new ship or turret or other necessary technology.

I think point defense is just a phaser tracking a projectile. What better to use then a focused beam of energy?

Akira have torpedos???

A thing that confuses me is in Armada I, the Akira-class starvessel was entirely a fast-firing phaser ship.  In Armada II, it was given a single slow-firing photon torpedo launcher but was still primarily a phaser ship.  However, in the Star Trek universe, the Akira-class was actually designed as the first ever ship to rely on it's torpedoes more than its phasers; so yeah, Akiras have torpedoes, or at least they're supposed to.
