don't know yet.. cause the first Fleet Operations music tracks and voice sets will be included the size shouldn't be small.. but i don't know how DOCa Cola will handle the patch system.. if a patch is possible it shouldn't bee as big as the beta1.1 release..

yea, i think the setup file will be around 10% smaller than the beta 1.1 file. an update is also planned, but due there are so many changes in beta 2.0 i don't know if the file size will be satisfying but i have to wait until my new mobo arrives, and check the 2.0 files, then i can tell you more.

Just an idea for a non-player ship, because it would make graveyards!
In TNG there was an entity, the Crystaline Entity... huge crystal that ate life forms. In other games (Birth of the Federation as an example), this Entity is a super powerful force that you can run into. So, I have an idea for a Crystaline Entity mini race...
Main Crystal -- Huge. Main weapon (this may not be possible, but this is the cornerstone for the race) does not damage the ship at all but has a HUGE impact on the crew, killing tons of then per shot. That is the ship's weapon, a massive crew killing weapon.
Mini Crystal (maybe) -- Smaller version of the origional (uses same model, except smaller). This crystal doesn't kill nearly the same amount of crew that the origional does, because it is a smaller crystal and can't focus the energy that well... so the beam will also have a sizable punch on the enemy ship's systems and shields both. However, the damage isn't tremendously great, since this isn't the main crystal.
Note, the ships listed above have no crew, mainly because you don't want these powerful ships in your enemies hands and also because they are suppose to be lifeforms themselves. The only crew killing weapon I know of is the Borg assimilation beam and it functions as an engine killing beam (used in a Klingon defense platform as the Combat Tractorbeam in this mod) and also as a transporter. I don't know if there is such a thing as a crew killing weapon, but if it is possible to instead disable the life support systems (in the same way as engines and shields can be disabled) this could cause a similar effect.
Good idea? If you could make a crew damaging weapon then you can have a ship that not only guards the graveyard but adds to the collection! Tell me what you think and if it is possible...

hehe, yes the Crystaline Entity is planed it will be done like you said.. it wont have shieldings, crew or live support, is quite slow and can absorb crew from enemy ships to heal itself with this energies. besides that the holding beam exists as itself on the cube - some of the original Armada II special abilities were quite fitting so we rebalanced them and used them. You can expect more special abilities to come

The Crystaline Entity (if I remember corecctly (I should as I have all 7 seasons of TNG on DVD) could outrun the enterprise.

The Crystaline Entity won't be that powerful, i think it was capable of destroying a whole colony..
