First off it is a great stragety to criple an enmys fleet by stoping any near base recorce mineing stations. That is a common Romulan stragety mayby not Difiant but it is a common Romulan stragity. plusssneeking up on an enmy is a very common atack plan surond an enmy and dystroy them not to metion the war bird defit stragety wouldent work on me because when I move my big war birds they are acompeneyed by smaller Rhienn warbirds.

Oh I do all of that but I set up a huge spy network, with n00b players I can see every square inch of a map before the game is 20 minutes old.

A spy network is agood idea, but to kep an eye on the enmy its better have two or three cloked D'deridex to assult an enmy fleet and worey the fleet enuigh to return home. Pluss why not use talon refit to spy on the enemy

Yeah and watch them get raped by an enemy romulan and his(possibly hers) sabocenter. I'm sorry but those would just be unacceptable losses for me, better to waste 220 dilithium and 10 crew from a single refitted talon that can see other cloaked ships then 3 warbirds costing slightly less then 3,000 dlithium among other resources.

to quote spock "the needs of the many out weigh the needs of the few or (in this case) the 3"I believe it would be a good Idea to sacifrice 2 or 3 warbirds to save your base from an over whelming fieet.

Well i find the rommies crap. When they uncloak there is a brief second where they are vounerable and usually when the AI or player attacks a decloaking  ship, it always knocks out the shields.

The same with cloaking.

lol roach, every cloaking race has that problem, you don't uncloak right next to your enemy. To do so would be idiocy.

@Cairo It's still a waste of warbirds, once your enemys done with them they will still come for you, maybe a ship or 2 short but thats all.

Stall for how long? 15 seconds? Thats how long their gonna last against only a single enemy fleet and they can't outrun any pursuers.

I was never in that situation because I was allways the one who is attacking others with massive fleet. Enemies of The Romulan Empire know my name for sure. Cheesy
