Dear Game Creators and Fellow Gamers,
I am sad to report that a fellow game player passed away unexpectedly on March 3, 2010.  You all knew his as Airwulf, but I knew him as Andy.  Andy was my best friend.  We loved playing Fleet Ops together.  I have not been playing since March 3 to mourn my friend's death.  Now that I've had the chance to honor his life at his funeral, I will celebrate his life by returning to play.  Andy and I would play twice a week for 3-4 hours in the evening after I put my son to bed.  He understood when we had to pause the game when I heard my son crying on the baby monitor.  We must have played every map possible, but we had our favorites.  This game provided us endless game play choices.  Sometimes we would go against each other, sometimes team up and test our skill against a couple of merciless AI.  We even did versus games to where we each had an AI as allies.  I just want everyone to know what type of person Andy was.  He helped bring home and assemble furniture for my newborn son's room and helped me build a new PC computer from scratch so that we could play online together.  Andy and his wife, Stacey, became my son's godparents.  I would very much like to hear from anyone else who played online with Airwulf.  I know you all never actually met him, so I hope you take my word for it when I say he was the best friend anyone could have.  Thank you for reading this posting to help me honor his life.  And to those who created the Fleet Ops game, thank you for giving Andy and I countless hours of fun I will always treasure!

Wow.  I did not know him, but from your description he sounds like a responsible and kind person.  Anyone who can keep their real life and their gaming life in perspective deserves to be honored well.

 RIP.

I never played with Andy, but by the sounds of it, I would have loved the chance. I think I speak for us all when I say we wish you well with your mourning, and look forward to having you back.

Goodbye Airwulf, RIP man.
