James Lowey (aka. apollosfire) has set a petition for Star Trek: Armada III on www.PetitionOnline.com.
So pls sign for this petition and lets hope the best Smiley

To:  Viacom International Incorporated; Paramount Pictures Corporation; Mad Doc Software, LLC;

We, the undersigned, would like to declare our eagerness for a third installment in the Star Trek: Armada computer games series. We would like this sequel to be made by Mad Doc Software.
We would like this sequel to have:
- better graphics
- better gaming style / game play
- in game mission / map editor
- more missions / longer overall game
We understand that Viacom is probably not interested in Star Trek computer games anymore, after the legal problems that they have experienced, but we, the undersigned, are great fans of the first two games and greatly desire a "Star Trek: Armada 3" to be made.

Sincerely,

The Undersigned

Hm, I don't need Armada III. It would mean that I had to get a new PC. And probably it would be just as bad as Armada II was.

We have Fleet Operations. That's our Armada III.

And in the future, it will have the Discovery class in it... So nothing beats FO! Cheesy

PS: Has anyone ever tried, how it would really look like, if all ships were scaled to their original sizes? We talked about it... but has anyone ever tried, if it's really that difficult to play then?

I would'nt mind having ships scaled better but 2 problems, 1 is that some may be so small like the venture it would be hard to find them. The other is then people would say planets need to be millions of miles away from each other too, and then thousands of miles big. I would love a armada 3 because it would bring better graphix and new technlogy. 1 last thing, I hope this discovery class isnt put in FO because the feds are still missing some cannon ships, whose space have been takin over by uncannon ships. Heres a list of ships that could be put in over others:

Lemme see lets do it in A-Z, Ambassadore class, there are still a few constellation classes floating around, but you guys dont have them buildable cept on one map, the dunabe runabout, there is the excelsior I(you guys only have Excelsior II but only 1 of those were ever build...hmmm...), theres the miranda class and her varients, the soyuz and saratoga, new orleans class, norway(I think this is going in Beta 3),Peregine fighters, prometheus(a replacement for the decent class), and thats the more noticeable ones.

The Discovery will be hireable, as I understood it. So it won't take away the place. Don't worry.

I dont see how a federation ship with federation technology would be hireable, but whatever.

Oh it's still a maybe. I would'nt care too much to see it but would like more cannon ships with the federation, other races dont have many cannon ships due to the shows being concentrated on the federation, therefore dream away with them. Ships common like the norway, miranda, oberth, new orleans and excelsior I could replace ships like the monsoon, canaveral, decent, and others.

Why would TMP ships be in it? Theyre older than any of the warp in ships, with the exception of the TMP steamrunner. im PRO discovery and PRO UN-"CANON" (ONLY ONE N) ships too, they add some spice. Cuz theyre anret verry many new canon ships.

Their not only TMP ships, over a hundred of each still serve in the federation. Did you see ST generations, both an oberth and a miranda class come to enterprise Ds saucer section to help beam up the survivors along with a nebula class. There are more newer designs then there are older designs now. Oh and what does my spelling have to do with anything? Does it make my request any less important?

Actually some miranda and oberth classes have newer registires, take the USS Tsiolkovsky for instance, registery NCC-53911 and the miranda class USS Nautilus, registery NCC-31910. Leading me to believe they are still being built or at least heavily refitted. The question if they are still being built is irrelevant, they are still being used heavily and thats the point i'm trying to make. Heres the USS Majestic taking a fatal blow in the Dominion war. Remember I only wanted this class to replace a light cruiser. Also note another Miranda class in the backround suffering the same fate.

Than how woyuld u explain mirandas coming from a shipyard in the future?

Aside from that, Half the regestries of ships where done by people who dont understand the registry system.

How would you see an excelsior II come form the shipyard in the furture, how would you see 30 sovern classes come from a shipyard in the future? last i recalled less then 10 of that class had been made. If you want to get that literal then how can you make a ship in a minute and not over a year, how can we even build ships so far from home, why dont various ships just warp in like it would on a show? ITS A GAME, not everythings gonna be perfect.

Regardless of if some people screwed up on the registries, they are still the most widely used ships in starfleet.

They only are cuz starfleet cant afford to scrap half the fleet... Besides more than half those TNP ships where destroyed by the dominion. And its an Excelcir II, A Non-Canon class that apears to be relativley new.

Non-cannon? The Excelsior-II or Exlcelsior-B is the USS Lakota NCC-42768 or USS Enterprise-B. Only 2 were made. While it's true starfleet cant afford to scrap them, they are still there, and I think they should be shown in game.

Found another picture of the Dominion war. Note the 2 Excelsior classes and what may be a Miranda class in front of a starbase along with 2 Galaxy class ships, what appears to be 2 peregine fighters and what may be a Defiant class also blanked out in front of the station. They appear to be preparing for some sort of a fleet action.
