Borg Semi-circle?
How about a Disk . I liked the disk the Borg had in A1 millinium mod . The Ramming cube was not bad either.

how about a cloud of nanites...they cannot shoot but will damage any objects close to it + some specials
or you could have a star like thing... something between sphere and assembly node

nanites are already present as a special weapon, as a ship they seem silly. you could just phaser them so easily.

Because just shooting them worked so well against the Replicators... anyway, ships made of Nanites is more of a Replicator thing than a Borg one.

Because just shooting them worked so well against the Replicators...
against a cloud (which is what was proposed )it would work fine, cos they aren't joined up. i agree that nanites/lego blocks when joined together can be clever and powerful, but in a cloud i doubt they could take weapons fire. maybe selfreplicating nanites, like rom's mines but worse.

I was wondering...
Could there be any room for perhaps a New unique design? I was thinking perhapes something like an Arrow Head? Basically a narrow triangle pointing horizontally to the front of the ship?
Or... one of my ideas was a slate.... a 'flat' slate horizontally spread. And Along the top and bottom is several Weapon arrays. Thickness would only be 10 decks (respectfully) though the length would be that of a sovy. And we could either make it a square slate or a rectangular one.

I wonder at what point the Borg really fell into that basic-shape ship design? Ah well...
As for an idea of mine, what about giving them some pre-assimilated and vastly upgraded ships for their mixed-tech yard? That would be awesome.

The Borg probably started with their curent design style when they became the Collective.
Pre-Assimilated ships are generally frowned upon because the Borg don't usually keep ships unless they need to, and even then they propably scrap them for resources and tech examination when they've outlived their usefulness. I like the idea, though.
