Okay, I DL'd the patch (http://fleetops.greentworld.com/downloads/FleetOpsBeta1Patch1.exe) and it doesn't work. I click on it, it brings up the little UFP or Klingon symbol, blacks out the screen, then it minimizes to the taskbar and does absolutely nothing.

Please pardon me if I'm doing somethin wrong...just point me in the right direction and I"ll be happy...

hm, what os are you using?
how many times have you tried starting fleetops?
what happens if you click on the armada 2 task in the taskbar?
Has it worked without the patch?

Windows XP Home (Yeah yeah, it sucks, but dad bought the comp so go figure)

The game or the patch? I haven't tried the game because it was my understanding it wouldn't work/would work poorly without the patch.

Absolutely nothing.

See answere 2.

THx for the fast reply.

No, I will do that now. I have to go get my earphones anyway.....

And I'm not surprised....for some reason, the normals laws of time, physics, and space don't seem to apply around me and this computer.......

Thanks.  Cheesy

That's very odd....I tried it one last time before I restarted and it worked perfectly, no problems, and very fast......   Go figure.....

OKay......the patch is installed but......now the game does the same thing....well...same problem, I just misidentified where the problem was....seems I was clicking on the game launch button originally and not the patch....stupid I know, but it's been a long day...

Does it matter if A2 is already installed on the comp when you try to use this mod?

theoreticly not, but i haven't enough test systems to be entirely sure.
I have integrated the feature in the setup so you don't have to install first armada II then the 1.1 patch and then fleetops. i tested the fleetops installer on 4 pc's, all windows xp and 1 virtual machine with windows 98.
So it seemes to work, otherwise there would be more error reports on installing fleetops.
