After I install the beta 2 mod and its patch I try to run it and it doesn't run.  I get an error message saying that it can't open sta2.tgt  can someone plz help me with this?

Hi and welcome to the forums

are you sure the filename is sta2.gtg?
have you installed Fleet Operations into a blank folder?
what OS do you use?

sorry for the confusion, the error message says that the file armada2.tgt was not found.

yes I have installed it in a blank folder and the operating system I use is windows ME

to which folder have you installed fleet operations to?
pls check if there is an armada2.tgt in your fleet operations root directory

There isn't, the only file present is armada2.tgt.manifest

If this is supposed to be the right file why do I get that error message?  

If it isn't the right file, then what does this one do and why don't I have the right one in here?

where is the game installed for FO? like D:\Program Files\Activision\STA2FO

hm, ok. just deinstall and reinstall fleet operations again.
pls attach the setup log to the forum. that can be done by right clicking on the setup log (after file copy is complete) and select 'copy to clipboard'. paste it into notepad or whatever and then attach it here.
try again to start it then.
no worries, this is a solvable problem that just takes some time Smiley

[EDIT]Hmm, could be caused cause you installed it on d:\ maybe there is some bug in the installer[/EDIT]

mines installed on a D: drive although it is just a seperate partitiion labeled D:

I installed it on the other PC in our LAN on a d:-partition, too. No problems with that.

if i try to install the game in D:\Games the game doesn't work, Map editor loads the game, is that a bug?

no error, it just won't work and i installed it somewhere else like the path i posted earier D:\Program Files\Activision\STA2FO
