CAN there be a code saying that a vessel cnnot be detected by any detection system?
Because one the new version comes around. I want the Scimitar to actually work correctly. You know what I mean!
Plz? I'd love a detection disabling code if at all.

WHAT? You are saying they purposely prevent that? COME ON! I need a ship that actually works like canon! Should I try to program a passive area affect thingy that disables the ping? Argh! They should make everything with hit chance. I mean, the Intellegence Report shouldn't have 100% accuracy 100% of the time! Because people improve their security making it harder to figure out where their forces are! Have the devs thought about this?

The problem with a completely undetectable ship is with things like the AI leaving it cloaked in the middle of nowhere as it's only remaining unit. You wouldn't be able to win because you wouldn't be able to find it to kill it and you would just quit in frustration.

normal Tachyon pings have a - quite small - chance to not get a cloaked vessel nearby. Graviton-Tachyon pings however can't be avoided with regular cloaking technologies, as they do not only consider Tachyon reflection, but also take the mass of vessels into acount. So unless doing some magic like shifting in other universes, all vessels will fall for Graviton-Tachyon scans. Gameplaywise Graviton-Tachyon scans will always get everything that tries to lurk by. But as the technology is quite expensive and energy consuming, you wont find them on mobile units.

So let me get this straight - the Graviton-Tachyon pings will detect cloaked ships with a 100% success rate BUT are only mounted in static units - not mobile. But the bog-standard tachyon pings will be on certain mobile units - although these will have a chance of not detecting cloaked baddies. Just a brief question - will the different races have varying success rates or effectivenesses* of tachyon pings? The only reason I ask is that it stands to reason that the Romulans are the leaders in cloaking technology - so they doubtless have developed more effective anti-cloaking tech? Or because the Federation are banned from possessing cloaking technology (I presume the treaty is still in effect in the FO timeline) they have maybe put more research into cloak detection instead? On the other hand - I couldn't really imagine the Klingons devoting great resources to cloak detection ("let's see - we can develop bigger disruptors or we can improve the resolution of our sensors - which to choose?" - Klingon no-brainer). So perhaps they would be less likely to detect cloaked ships using the standard tachyon technology than the Romulans or Feds. If this is unworkable or not doable - then please ignore the above. Also, will we be seeing more mobile units such as destroyers getting cloak detection? If only to give them a more lasting role in long-running games when cruisers and bigger tend to dominate fleets. *Disclaimer - not a real word.

While i like this new system very much i still have on small issue and one big issue.
First let me start off by saying tho, that i do like this new system looks very nice to make cloaking so complex, so that its not so easy to detect.
Now my first issue is more of a, in addition to what you have done, i feel that the cloaks should have a small chance of a cloak faliure during cloak, in fact all systems should have this, and since cloak is such a long term use, it should have failures to, weather the generator just goes out, or it just decloaks for a second and then auto recloaks
my big issue is this youve made it harder for no cloaking races to detect, while this is a good thing in a way, i feel its disatvantages outweigh it greatly,
the problem is this, cloak is literally a weapon of major destruction, it is a offenseive weapon, defensive weapon, scouting weapon, its own sensor net, and a weapon of fear
for the no cloaking race, if facing a cloaking race, you cant just expand normally, you have to protect everything, even if you have an outside perimiter the inside is vulnerable, so you spend time and money into cloak detection, so you have to be more concerned about defending, and you cant win by defending, i just think this gives the roms and kligons and huge boost, and leaves the other races at a major disatvantage

If this is possible, I'd imagine the Federation or Dominion would be best. The Dominion are advanced, the Federation have their legendary Engineers and are well know to adapt well to their enemies new tech. Romulans may be the best at Cloak, but may not be the best at detecting them. Their own Cloaks, maybe, but not another races (it's tougher to counter Cloak's that use different tech to your own).
