There were voices about the Borg being to weak in Beta2. I think the Borg are well balanced, but i want to hear the meaning of the community.

In my mind the Borg are supposed to be the unstoppable force of nature that nomatter what you do they will crush you.
I realise this doesnt work for game balance at all.I do beleive the alpha quadrant races are very balanced with each other so theres really no problems there. They should be balanced with no favorites just different play styles.

The Borg are a totally different matter all together.
My opinion on this is that the regenration rates shuold be increased so that the borg can absorb alot of punishment and still fight. In my mind a Borg ship should at least be twice as strong as a similar alpha quadrant ship.
Borg builds should be limited to fewer built but much stronger then there opponents.
It just looks wierd to see 6 borg cubes and many spheres and destroyers attacking you and any race can defeat that if they put up a proper defence.
This should be reversed, 1-2 cubes taking on a proper defence and "almost"  being a stalemate.

Borg scout = Destroyer strength
Borg Destroyer = Cruiser strength
Borg Cruiser = Battleship strength
Borg Cube = ? thats a tuff one I acknowledge
Borg Fusion cubes = well.....

If I could have voted twice I would have voted both 1 and 2.
This is just an opinion and not critisism please remember.

1:maybe a little notch in power, twice might be too much and I think if this will be changed it would be good to have a limit on certian vessels as bubba said
2:definetly (what I voted)

The Borg should be much stronger than any alpha quad ships, but the reason theve never been able to conquer the alpha quadrent (besides it being the end of Star Trek) is that they cant get a foot hold he beacuse of such a demand of resources that their ships and facilitys use. If they were to be made stronger, or course youd increase the cst of things for balance, but when you get going with the borg, there very powerful. So 2 winds my vote, slow to begin, but if they get a foot hold, your in trouble.

i think its bad that you cant enter a ship with one cube ... because of its special energy ... you ever need three or more to do so ...

okay. the borg will get booth a new technology tree / style and many optical updates. some existing abilities and vessels will stay or be improved. Some new will appear. hope the "new" borg which are a bit more collective will be what you think of Smiley
