We can name 8 playable races that without doubt they'll be in there. - Federation (Done) - Klingon (Done) - Romulan (Done) - Dominion (Done) - Borg (Done) - Iconian (In progress) - Noxter (In progress) - Ciadan (In progress) Could there be an additional race? I'd Like that. You all can chose! And there are plenty to choose from. I know the Devs chose, this is just to get an opinion on who likes who. What the heck is up with the Iconian and Ciadan? The Ciadan, don't exist, (with no details about them!) and the Iconian are extinct! They were all slaughtered by an orbital bombardment hundreds of years ago! (They also have no details!) Please just give deatils about them. Noxter, love them, put them in. However, Voth, Xindi, Kazon, and Cardasians could be cool.

There are scattered details about the ciadan on these forums and it's reasonable to assume that some iconians escaped the death of their planet(s) and have now come back. Besides; it give the developers a chance to show off some designs!

my vote is for the Imperial Remnant. the noxter dont interest me since they are just a different form of species 8472, dont know who the ciadan are ill have to look them up and the Iconians would be waaaaaaaaay more powerful than any of the current species. they would just use one of those portals and drop a big bomb onto the bridge of any enemy ship they want, and if simply interfacing with a ships computers causes havoc imagine what they could do if they actually tried to hack into ships systems. they would make the borg look like 12 year olds getting passwords for porn sites and thinking they are smart. to be perfectly honest i would like to see a machine race instead of an organic race. imagine if the terminators advanced to the level of warp technology and went on to wipe out everyone. i realize the borg are mostly machine but they seem more deliberate and plodding. it would be nice to have a bunch of machines that were psychotic.

By imperial remnant, i assume you mean from star wars? (thats the only imperial remnant ive heard of)
It would be nice to see some real spam-type gameply (beyond the klingons) where you can have several hundred destroyers on the battlefield at a time.

I like the Idea of a pure machine race....they could be the nemesis of the borg....where borg seak perfection by taking the best of eveything from the best lifeforms and melding it with machine....this machine race could be hellbent on acheiving perfection by eliminating every form of life there is based on the premises that all life is imperfect and must be destroyed. I like that Idea a lot but Im also anticipating the return of the noxter. ciaden i have no clue and the iconians.......well lets just say iconians have a lot to live up to......i wouldnt mind seeing the Furies from novel....there ships sound mean and brutal.

The Borg strive to eliminate their organic parts--don't you remember Lore?

Lore's Borg are not the best example; they were already seperated and lost when Lore arrived.

Yet they stated that they admired his perfection EDIT: and for that matter, the Queen and DATA in First Contact.

Yet they stated that they admired his perfection EDIT: and for that matter, the Queen and DATA in First Contact. Lost, leaderless, confused, angry at what the Enterprise did to them (Hugh, at least. Not sure about the others). They were vulnerable with goals not influenced by the normal Collective, while being influenced by an Android with a strong belief in his own superority and perfection. The Queen is a good point, though. Even if she is unusual for a Borg.

star trek kind of turned its own lore on its ear with the addition of the queen. years and years of no individuals only the collective........oops.....cept that chick over there in the metal spandex.
thats what happens when you give women the right to vote. they go on a galaxy wide rampage to nag everyone that doesnt do everything exactly like they want. if you dont take out that garbage right away they will assimilate your ass so that you take out the garbage everyday at precisely the same time
