Ok, there were a few issues with fleetops beta 1. i hope they are solved with the hotfix in the download section. On some computers a few modifications to the executable envoirement makes some problems. pls let me know if this hotfix has solved your problems with fleetops. remember, you don't need a preinstalled armada 2 on your pc. you have to install in a blank folder for a successful install.

Ok this is really annoying i installed the game like u said No Armada on disk just running fleetops exe install with A2 in drive all went well i load up i set up Graphics and press play and it says u need ur own cd even though i got into the game through the launcher loading with the cd??

make a fresh FleetOps setup and don't copy any files from somewhere. Just execute the FleetOps.exe, no armada2.exe

ok this is what i did

1,uninstalled the game A2 and all related files
2,activated the Beta
3,installed the game
4,Installed the hot fix
5,set up the game 1024x76832bit Left click interface
6,instant action Me =Fed Ai=Borg chose the 2player map
7,pressed play and a messsage pops up saying

You need your own copy of startrek A2

btw when i say installed the game i dont mean i opened A2 install just the beta

I am going to try something as my primary Ide is my cd drives i will swap them round and see ill be back in 10minutes

Why would ya have your CD-Roms primary??? Its always better to have HDD primary and Cd's as secondary slaves.  Smiley     And that kind of work requires more than 10mins. Its been 2hrs now... LOL

I've got a similar problem. With me it says that I need to insert the cd if click on launch.

We've solved the error message problem and actually working on the cd-needed problem.. there will be an hotfix for this soon

yes, hotfix1 is included in hotfix2

simply delete the msvcp60.dll from your fleetops folder, thats a relict from hotfix 1
