im sort of confused how to register with them and how to access this new system. I tried going to gamesnet and looking for my self in there help pages but it did not help. Please respond asap

yep you need an irc-client (most common Mirc: http://www.mirc.com )

then install mirc, start mirc, then go to file/select Server

choose in the new window als network the gamesnet and as server Gamesnet: Random  east US Server

and as last step connect to this server and join #fleetops with the command /join #fleetops
