Hi!:
I was watching the new Star trek serie, Enterprise; (here in Argentina new chapters "need more time" to be shown cheesy. Well, I watched this chapter (I think it was called "Shipyard" ) where the Enterprise crew was in a mysterious shipyard which repaired every ship with a "honorary". But apart from honorary, the shipyard "assimilated" one of the crewmen to have more information about its race.

Are we talking about a primitive kind of Borg thing?

Thanks!

This is not the borg (not by a long shot)... The borg is believed to have started with V'Ger, but ne ways there is an episdoe with the borg (it makes alot more sence if you watch first contact (movie Cool though).

ok i dont want to be rude but the borg did not start with vger watch St:! motion picture that probe went to andormeda(i belive not sure but another galaxy) the borg are in enterprise from the future and the borg are around but in the delta quadrant and the message took 200 years to arrive hint hint system J25

i like the way the tied ent with tng it was done well without destroying the st timeline for once

basicly the borg where like humans and experimented with technology and the borg queen says it in first contact when she says "we used to be like u weak organic"

dude done get so wound up... With the continuity erors and timeline problesm star trek has, the borg where created as an idea for an episode, but just liek the kligons or romulans they have been brought back, but not as often so there past is not revield enough, but over the process of watching episodes of all the series and examing the movies, i have deducted that the borg started with a race featured in an episode on voyager or V'ger.

On the way to the Adromeda galaxy they realized it was futile so they stoped in the delta quardrent and tried to gain all knoledge they could by "assimilating" races.

Mby "she" is refering to the first race assimilated before they where...

nope the continuity aint bad if u watch all the eps and pay attention for example archers time is more advanced cause of henry starling and the temporal cold war factions

the borg are from the delta quadrant and vger has nothing to do with them vger was only interested in gathering data and going back to earh so the borg dont come in

the boorg originated from the delta quadrant and stole subspace corridors from another race or was that the hirodgen? cant remeber  but the race who developed them confrims the borg originated in the delta quadrant cause they knew the borg some 800years before voyager so vger is impossible to say had a part in it as it was only 400 years before
