Ok, this little hotfix patches one more annoying crash bug and finally should make your game quite stable. This bug fixed with 3.0.5a was even present in the final version of 3.0.0, but for some reason didn't occur that often until the release of 3.0.5. Took us a long time to figure it out what it was. In case you wonder, the ingame menu still says 3.0.5. Smiley Not much else to add here. Have fun

Patch 3.0.5a is compatible with all previous 3.0.x installations. You do NOT need to have previous patches installed before you install 3.0.5a, you can Patch a blank 3.0 installation right away.

Download Fleet Operations Patch 3.0.5a

Fixes
  • Fixed a crash in the AI

when you guys get to 5.1 you should just make it replace the original installer or else these small patches that fix like 1 bug will still take a long time to download because they include all the old stuff as well.

thanks bunches.  my saved game worked and a played two new ones.  one thing you might want to look at in the next version is the romulans over using their cloaks.  i had them as an ally but all they did was build humungous fleets of ships right next to enemy supply depots and never even bothered to attack them.  they just milled about doing the occasional attack against the feds and dominion.

also it might have been fixed in this patch but my repair ships got stuck in the small ship yards a couple of times.  i had to decomission the shipyard in order to free them.

I got the same Problem just once (hence I didn't really recogniced it) you just could abort the Orders and send it somewhere else, that just worked for me (so not only the Repairship got stucked)

Hi @all

I've to post here to thank for the great support
There were a couples of crashes while playing on a 6 player map with 5 hard AI. When the ai has to handle a hole lot of ships (some hundreds maybe).

I hope this patch fix it.

Great work. Thank you so much.

Ps.: sry for my english. it's not the best i know ^^

I think that has something to do with with the ship having a system disabled. but i have not seen the problem recently. a little while ago i had a problem with a system on one ship being permently disabled  and every time i sent it to the repair yards it would get stuck, but it was a little while ago so idk if the problem has been fixed or not.

that's exactly the scenario where the crash occoured very often. occasionally also with a lot less ai 'traffic' around.
oh, your english is not as bad as you think. welcome to the forums Smiley
