You want to have Fleet Operations in your languange? Then help us to make a languange pack for the tooltips and descriptions in Fleet Operations.
 How to do that?
  • Add a comment to that topic or send me a message to what languange you want to translate Fleet Operations to

  • Open your Dynamic_Localized_Strings.h (from your main Fleet Operations directory) in your favourite texteditor (like notepad Smiley)

  • Translate it

  • Attach the file to the forum or send it to DOCa Cola by email

You can also get the Dynamic_Localized_Strings.h file here
Questions or ideas? Post them to the board.

Hi, great idea.
I nearly finished the translation to german, only the noxter are still missing.

How do you want to realize the odf tooltips in different languages?

There are some problems with the GUI tooltips in the Dynamic_Localized_Strings.h.
When you change them, the game crashes immediately after you´ve won or lost.
The Admirals Log does not appear anymore. The same when you abort the mission. It does not appear when you´ve only edited the race specific items.

I think I can post the file tomorrow evening.

Here´s the Dynamic_Localized_Strings.h completely translated to german.
Tested with original installation without any problems.
What still appears in english, has to be edited in different locations like the odf-files.
Please test it and give me feedback.
Enjoy Fleet Ops in german.

File replaced with new version created with the help of Lt.Cdr.White
He´s driving me crazy with his accuracy, but I won´t stop until everyone is satisfied.
Added weapon damage and load times, removed information, which is in the odf´s already, like station names, ship classes etc.

Last update for this weekend, corrected some typos and errors.
Next release on monday, so please test and give feedback what still needs to be improved.

I´m not available this weekend, see ya on monday.

It's simply because I think the translation should be just as perfect as Fleet Operations is. I think we owe this to the FleetOps Team! Wink

You´re right.
I fear the day they´ll release the next beta with additional races.
This will become hard to start from the beginning.
