I have another problem with the new AI, specifically with ships that have only forward fireing arc and are set on low movement automony. When they are not exactly facing the enemy ships, they just dont care if they're being fired at. I have had this problem with the breen cruiser, the T-15, the Defender and the new Dominion troop ship.
I think I can remember them truning b4, but now you have to do turn them manually, which is VERY annoying Cheesy

the Klingon AI is broken. they will not build battleships no matter the situation. also alittle surprised at no update for klingons; you think they dont need a change or just focusing on others first?

also, while testing the Klingon AI in 7 player ffa's where the majority of AI was Klingon, the game would often crash during battles; my computer is only like 3 months old and has no problem running crysis at 1920x1200, so i think its the program and not my computer.

will we get any help concerning the problem with the crash at the startup of fleetops?
I don't want to be unfriendly in any way or something like that, I'm just afraid about never being able to play fleetops

I hope I don't sound too thick here, but can I drop the 3.0 patch onto my beta and get it to where it should be?

sorry if this was covered somewhere else...

on default settings i let 4 hard ai klingons go at it ffa, not only did none of them build battleships but after 6 hours none of them defeated any of the others and i decided to end the test then.

i've also tested it with  7 hard ai ffa twice where 5 of the ai's were klingon the other two Romulan, never did the klingons build battleships; the romulans did though.

and then i did a ffa with 1 hard ai per race and despite the klingons being the last to be wiped out, they never built a battleship.

and i just finished a test where i pit myself against a hard ai klingon. i spent an hour building up defensive turrets, went to bed, woke up, get on computer, the klingon ai still hadnt built any battleships and failed to do any damage to my base, i had resources other then supply maxed and easily wiped him out.

Yep. I still have to see an AI Negh. always play 8 player AI games, and always have at least 1 kling. To the last they grapple with enemy ships - but refuse to build neghs.
All other races are building fine now.

Regarding the AI (again)

Not sure if it's already been addressed, but as it is right now the AI will ignore your fleets and divebomb straight for your bases. While this is ok, they do it in a nice, easy to gank, conga line of ships.

If you park a decently sized artillery fleet + support in whatever chokepoint the AI comes through, they oftentimes will just try to pass right by your fleet, and will not respond to being fired upon and raped before they reach their destination. And with two AIs going at it they will have their two fleets just pass right by each other like the other didn't exist. Very odd behavior IMO.

I'm just missing the 1280x1024 screen mode... kinda looking weird sometimes, when just playing with x980 screen on a native x1024 monitor...

the borg maybe, but not the other factions. and even the borg would respond if they're fleet is about to blow up completly.
