I recently installed star trek armada 2 using a mounted ISO with deamon tools lite because the original disk i own split in half because the dam case wouldnt let it go and i must have tugged too hard, anyway iv tried launching fleet ops but the icon comes up like its getting ready to launch then it says error report blah blah and close's, at first i thought maybe its because its mounted and not on a disk so i tried my brothers disk ( real version of armada 2) but i got the same error.

Why is it not working, could someone help?

Im running Xp not vista.

Did you patch Armada 2 to 1.1 prior to installing flops? (you still have to do that, right?)

nope, Fleet Operations does not require an Armada2 preinstallation. please install Fleet Operations to a blank folder.

Yes i installed the 1.1 patch before installing fleetops.

The error is startrek armada 2 has encountered an error and needs to close, send report to microsoft....

What do you mean install it to a blank folder? the install put it self into activision/fleetops next to the armada 2 folder.

You dont need the original Armada II installed at all. You also dont need any 1.1 patch... it has no effect on FleetOps.
Maybe you should try to reinstall it... what are your system specifications btw?

i guess you could try closing all programms first since you are using the minimum amount of ram but apart from that i have no clue just make sure you dnt install over a a2 install

don't install fleet operations over an existing armada 2 installation, also, don't install fleet operations over an existing fleet operations installation (example don't install 3pr over 2.0!) choose an own empty directory if you like to keep both versions.
