Ok guys. As promised there will be a closed beta test for v3. Last time we took people browsing the forum that day and promoted them to beta testers. This time it will be different:
If you have supported the Fleet Operations project by a donation you will have the chance to become a beta tester for the latest development version of Fleet Operations v3.0 starting from October 1st, 2008.

Beta testers will have access to a special section of the board where they are going to share their thoughts with us and give direct feedback about the beta version.
As we want to release version 3.0 as soon as possible the tests should work out on a high level of efficiency.
We reserve ourselves to exclude or add people from/to the beta test.

Basically to play v3 and to tell us about every bug, idea or suggestion you might get while doing that Wink
we will prepare a more specific list about what and how testing should be done that will be available in the tester forum then

Just curious about one thing... why no "non-donators" in the beta?
Truth be told, I'm not sure how many donators there are here, or how many of those that would be willing. More I was more wondering if this is the best way of getting a good distribution of overall player preferences/critiques. (I don't speak for myself here, as I unfortunately would not have the time if I was given the opportunity )

Sorry if that came out sounding like a jab

Edit: oh, and I almost forgot... YEAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!

Much like SMF those who pay the bill are the ones who get the first piece of the pie, honestly I can't blame Fleetops for doing this. Development time is not very free
