Spore has been released. Is anyone else interested in this? I'm picking it up in about 1.5hrs after I get out of work. I hope to see all the wonderous creatures walking about. Whose with me? Customized EVERYTHING. Sweet stuff!

It got 79 out of 100 in a german print magazine... one very bad flaw are the costs. How much was it again? I also read something about downloadable content ... like new sort of eyes for 5 bucks...

The game is also unbearably boring.

Depends on how you play it, and what your personality is: like all games.
Now I've been playing it for a few hours instead of doing  homework... darn it!

Due to how EA got so anal about the security, I will not be purchasing this or Mass Effect for PC.

It's funny the pirated version actually leaves you will less of a security hole than the non pirated version funny that.

I picked up the Galactic Edition and while I was in a pack Some dood swooped down and abducted some of my people. I was like WTF! Hory Clap! I'm going to watch the National Geographic special on how to create a better creature on TV tonight. Also have the DVD version. I'm not 100% happy with my guys I might pull God Rank and drop them from the face of the universe. I'm still trying to figure out how to be an Herbavore. I enjoy it.

Yeah, I built a scorpion type predator on easy... and annihiliated 150 other species... and then made peace with some of my own tribe in civ stage only after taking 3 of the 4 countinents (they begged for mercy)  LOL

I'm going to be a cruel space dictator I tell ya

Hi,

I enjoy Spore a lot.
Sure it's quite monotone gameplay, but you make you own game.
And I like that.

To clear something up, you don't have to pay for extra parts.
Their is however a spore catalogue, which shows you the current Spore games and gimmicks (like T-shirts and stuff).

P.S. A tip for wars in the space fase if you're a friendly race, pay your allies to have war for you.
But do protect the bombers of your allies!!!
You can later buy the systems out via trade routes.

I like the civ phase but its so short! The space stage was fun too for two days with some imagination to help boost things along, but..
