OK first I know you guys are finishing off V3 so I don't expect anything any time soon but I wanted to add these here
Request 1: The experience systemFirstly The experience system works by ships gaining experience by destroying other ships but I was wondering is it not possible to add a new command for weapon odfs so that they can gain experience from firing certain weapons as well as destroying other ships.
I'm thinking here that this is mainly for non-combat ships e.g. repair ships and mining freighters so when they use their mining beam or repair beam they can also gain levels. I personally was also thinking of using it with an assimilation based weapon with a ship that doesn't have any other weapons so that ship can gain levels.
Request 2: The replace weaponThis is something that relates to a mod I'm working on but I'm sure has other uses, I wanted to be able to fire the replace weapon so I can create a colony station away from my main base. In the mod I don't want you to be able to have two bases right next to each other so my idea was to be able to fire a colony pod out that has a minimum range which will create a small station which then 'evolves' into another base, the small station would be weak and defenceless so the enemy can destroy it before you evolve it if they attack hence not being able to create a starbase right next to their shipyards.
So my request is a target able replace weapon that would create a ship at the location you click at, Either that or being able to set the team the u-ball you create belongs to.
