Yeah, now I got another problem though....how do I make map units that attack the players? And how do I make ships that are capturable by the players? Like derelicts?

well, in beta2 you can only make units whitch either attack the "normal" players or are derelict. neutral units are a feature of beta3.

you will have to set one of the unused teams (ctrl+r) to AI-player (or what every the third option besides empty and player is called)
now you can place units for this team
(you can change the default team of the units you place in the mapeditor with ctrl+up/down arrows)
these vessels will now attack everybody they see.

to place a derelict follow the steps above, but then doubleclick on the placed unit and set its crew value to zero, so it can be boarded.
Note: Some vessels which don't have crew - for example Noxter organisms - cannot be placed as derelicts

when i do it i just set the team is an unused player (eg if i make a 5 player map i will set it to player 6) and do the same to the previced team and then they attack every one that they see

Okay, lemme go try that Op. Thanks. Will edit after I've tried it.

That got it, thanks Optec.

The map I made first is a recreation of a map from the STvsSW mod. 6 players, meant for a 3 on 3. A ton of AI in the center. First you take out the AI in the center, then you can get at the other team. There's asteroids dividing the map in half and some REALLY nice goodies in the center to capture. Unfortuantly, the toughest ships and stations in the Breen, Borg, Noxter, and Bajoran Navies don't want you to have them! Nothing short of several heavy battle groups will get you through the center. Fortuantly, there's another way. But it has it's own problems....

If anyone wants it, just ask. Maybe I could send it to DocaCola or somebody for upload here to a maps section.

yep. you should send it to DOCa Cola! Smiley
Maps lihe these perfectly fit for beta3, where i could think of an intelligent NP race in the center (for example a breen - the breen are not completed in beta2) which realy builds new ships and sometimes attacks you.
it would also be possibly to place a neutral building in the center, which.. let's say.. increases your credit count Smiley

Okay, I'll send it off to yall soon as I get the bugs worked out on it. I accidently placed a few...vital items outside the map area propper and the center needs a bit of tweaking.  I THOUGHT I made it a tough nut to crack, but I found a nasty weakness I wanna try and correct.
