Hey guys, as a great fan of this mod I thought you'd probably like to know this before Starforce 2 can continue stealing models from FO taking credit for them, here's the link:

Romulan Smaller drydock, Bridge Commander Downloads, Bridge Commander Romulan
Warbird Yard _drydock, Bridge Commander Downloads, Bridge Commander Romulan

Good luck with the last remaining tasks! Smiley

I thought they ran on completely different platforms though (different coding, etc  )

Edit: nevermind... I'm an idiot. The guy did say at the bottom... but didn't ask permission still...

Porting without permission is just as illegal as mod theft within the same game, in fact porting weights more as it's also forbidden by law when it comes to stock models.

He's not the friendliest fellow around, but I don't believe he'd sink low enough to steal anyone's work.

Actually, mark, Fleet Ops is somewhat infamous for not sharing their models and other work.

1.) Didn't say he used any stock models, I only said something about that law.
2.) I can assure you I do have a life.
3.) Starforce 2 well known, yes, but also well disliked for exactly such things and personal attacks, I have a contact list filled with people who would happily acknowledge.
4.) FleetOps like RedShirt said is usually not very fond of others using their work, so I brought it to their attention as I run sort of a mod team myself and can imagine what it would feel like to have our work ripped by this "respected" a...I mean member.

@ all: Yeh rocky start, I'm sorry, but thanks for the welcomes Smiley

we have already granted permission to several people to use part of our work, but we cant grant complete and free access, cause Fleet Operations contains material we got exclusive right to use it.

The only small thing we demand before someone uses our stuff is to ask us in the first place. That shouldn't be to much work. We can then check if the material in question has been created by a Fleet Operations Team member and grant permission, or deny it if not.
Just porting stuff, releasing it and writing somewhere in the read me "the author can contact me if problems arise" is not the most polite and correct way to go.

I have already wrote him a PM.  Azn

Just so you all know, i have disabled the files mentioned above although the screenshots may still be visible it can't be downloaded at all (it won't be on the front page of bcfiles either), until at least when this has been sorted out. (i.e. when a decision to either keep it or remove it has been made)
