It's only a start really, I'm certain there will be many more innovations in the first quarter of this century. Anyone interested in future technology might like this site I found recently:

I check that one often to remind me of the pace of change, which most experts acknowledge is accelerating, mostly driven by the well known exponential growth of computing - moore's law etc.
