What are your projections on the possibilities for Romulan federation relationships after the last movie nemesis.
And if the Feds and Roms become bed buddies what do you think it would do for klingon relations.

i doubt the federation & the romulans will let things go. or even if there is an alliance it will be short lived, like the kling-rommie alliance. those romulans are just to untrusting & sneaky to remain in an alliance with anyone, for any amount of time.

Isn't that what was said about the Klingons during TOS and TMP?

Yeah sorta... but the Klingons have honor, remember? Still, I think that the feds and romies will ally and be succesful because although the romies look underhanded, it is in their best interests to become federation to fix internal strige. I guess it could go either way; it depends if romies become more apparent in aims and less domineering.

Romulans and the Federation will have a relationship similar to the USA and West Germany, they will work together militarily and such at least until the situation is bettered, but the Romulans will retain Full Autonomy and their empire.

Well there is no more west germany, but I dont think the Romulans will be gone As said before, they are untrustworthy and I dont think they can hold any alliance long

The Barrstards signed a non-agression pact with the dominion, if they'd entered the war sooner they could have saved millions of lives. But no!! DS9 captured, fleets crushed, world's conquered, while they sat back drinking Romulan Ale. Only later on did they decide to offer their warbirds.

I think that the Romulans will use the Federations assistance to gain a foothold to attempt to take down the Federation... If somehow the Romulans and Federation gained a lasting alliance, it would very likely strain relations between the Klingons and the Federation.

The books set after nemesis have the Romulan Empire on the brink of civil war. The Remans enter Klingon protection.

The Romulan barrstards don't deserve such a beautiful planet. The federation should annex Romulus and turn it into a vacation paradise, and as for the dark and crappy sister planet, well it's full of dilithium, so it's christmas.

Aww, don't be so hard on the Romies. They have some pretty nifty tech (common, look how their ships are powered after all... and the tavara?! ) I might be able to get you a singularity powered Griffen, if you ask nicely

The federation already has Risa and Pacifica, I don't think they need another vacation paradise.

There's always room for another vacation spot!! Yesss I do agree, the Roms have some cool technology. I remember in the Klingon Civil War in the next gen, Geordi says that "Romulan sensors are as good as ours", indicating that they are a high-tech species, and as for how that quantum-singularity engine works, you got me!! I doubt they'd tell anyone, and I doubt the Federation would fight a war with them unless they really had to. The Federation fleet seems to be larger but they'd take a bit of a pasting from those warbirds.
