Hi,
1st of all the game looks great!
I have installed all the latest Patches V3 including the multimedia files.
I am using Vista and have updated the new uploader.
The game starts fine all loads up, I go to instant action and the start of the game, I have my Outpost and a scout ship, There is no sign of my construction ship, not even hiding in a nebula!!
Can anyone help me?

You need to choose an avatar first from the starbase build option... then you can build everything  |

THanks, but where is the avatar?
Also when I play V computer, they are not building anything, I have just had a 6 player game, with shroud and fof off, just watching scouts fly around the outpost!
When I click on my scout there are no orders button, no graphics above the ships details..... no build orders when i click on the outpost.
Any ideas?

Are you saying there isn't the build sign whatsoever on your starbase once you click on it? (I think it looks something like an I-beam) If this is so, this could be a technical error... but hopefully you are just not finding the icon. If you do find the build icon (or any other icon once you click on the outpost) click it, and two people will appear (your avatars). Click one of those and you are set  Hope this helps  |

Yes, it dosent appear whatsoever, even when I click on my scout ship, it does not display any order icons etc etc.
I have also noticed that my starbase and ships do not appear on the minimap, its like I am invisable!
Any ideas?

Is the video screen on the right hand side & the map screen on the left hand side appearing ?
If not then press either CTRL & I or ALT & I a few times to get them back up (cant remember which key it is off hand).
This may solve your problem.

I remember hearing about this error a few years back...but unfortunately the only way I know how to "fix" it is to reinstall the game (remember to not put Fleet Ops under your program files, but instead in your My Documents folder). Perhaps you could also search the older threads for such a problem... if you can't get any help that way hopefully the other members or Doca might know  |
