Something powerful enough to cause lots of problems and get us arrested, but not so powerful that we get our ass handed to us when we try to capture it  Actually the K'vort would be a good choice.

The K'vort would work, but those Klingons ain't too good with the whole mercenary aspect... you know, the whole "honor" thing and all. How are you with a bat'leth?
