PLEASE ! include Armada 2's Aegean in your mod. I love this lil ship, and it wasn't given the amount of attention it deserves. i'd love to see it in FO 3.0 with a few new features. maybe instead of a shield enhancer , maybe it creats a field that slows screws with phasers, torpodeos and mines from getting a lock on your ships. but it would only last for a 30 secs. just a crazy idea. BUT PLEASE, bring back my favorite lil ship. with upgraded graphics, But don't change it's design. THX

As far as I know the Aegean isn't canon (I think the developers normally use ships that are considered canon), and the abilities you suggest would be redundant with some other passive/active abilities that are already on another ship (the name of both escapes me at the moment). On the other hand I did like the ships' design...

The Aegean is a bit like Quark's holodeck programs: great fun but it's not real. Bridge commander did a great mod of it though. Lots of torpedoes...

AFAIK the Aegean is already set to be in FO as an "Uncommon" Federation ship (like the Premonition was, so essentially a map object). No doubt they will modify it slightly to fit in with the new balancing (and probably spruce up the model a bit), but from what i gathered they are gonna try to keep it as close to its vanilla incarnation as they can (so it will still have a shield-based special weapon).

So yeah, I don't expect the Aegean will be in 3.0 i'm afraid, but to my knowledge it will be in FO at some point.

What? Very few of FO's ships are canon, you know...

that is true, however it is planned as map object, not as part of the federation. optec liked it's design and wanted to do an own reinterpretation someday
