I rarely make threads. But today I decided to make one, to pose all my tiny issues with the current FO.

I would just like to remind everyone that this mods goodness overrules any faults I might perceive =).

Ship names and Registries:

I personally have started to notice that starships (Primarily Federation Ships) exist in the game with the same name on a different class.

E.G.

I have an Akira, Monsoon and Remore class U.S.S. Washington. (The only example I still have in Admirals Log) at exactly the same instant in time in my 40 ship Armada.

Now, this lead me to assume that every ship uses the same names database versus stock where each class had a range of names.

I'm sure this problem persists for the Klingons and Romulans as well.

For the Dominion, it is a moot point, since their names 'N Ship, N Fleet' work good in any situation.

Admirals Log itself:

(I know this has been brought up before)

With regards to 'battles' and 'Time line'. And occasionally ship effectiveness numbers in excess of 100000. Lol.

the admirals log thing is a stock A2 bug, that has simply been carried over to FO. I not sure if much, if anything, can be done about that.

It is on the Todo List, but as a very low-priority item. the game itself comes first Wink

As I recall, a low-priority list of ship names is in the works.  For a couple years.

the admirals log is fixable, but it's a plenty of work ... so the game comes first, then the stuff around it...

about the vessel names. if someone likes to compile a unique list of names with atleast 25 names for every single shipclass that is in fleet operations, feel free to do so and send them to me Wink

I will definitely do that! What format would you like them in and how would you like to receive them?

(And do I need to make a separate set for each avatar? or just for each type of ship?)

for each ship please Smiley
bit i fear 25 is a bit low, imagine 4 federation players building 6 saberes each (thats nothing to unusual) would end up wit a total of 24 names spent. arround 100 names would be more the way to go Smiley thats why we fused the name lists into one

I think Startrek-online.net has a huge ship database, might make compiling the list easier.

Alright, almost got my 100 names for the Sabre Class Done =). I'm thinking of only doing 50 names for each of the Warp-in ships  though.

-Edit

Sabre and Monsoon done!

Can someone post a name of all the Federation ships for easy reference? Sad

THANKS! <3

Optec is right, names are harder and harder to find as one goes.

So Far.

Intrepid 100/100 names.
Sabre 100/100 names.
Monsoon 100/100 names.
Canaveral 50/50 names.
Akira 10/100 names.

I've decided to do 50 names for rare ships.

(Avatar, Warp-in, Construction, Newton, Canaveral and Scout)

100 Names for Combat ships and Miners.

(Sabre, Monsoon, Intrepid, Akira, Excelsior II, Sovereign, Remore (Rare, but gaining popularity) and Defiant).
