With the new mixed tech system, the player no longer builds up alien techtrees, so no building ships or stations. However, if you manage to capture an enemy science station, will you still be able to research any special weapons that are purchased there (so any ships you capture will be able to use them)?

I was just wondering since i always enjoyed doing this in vanilla AII.

yep, you can still research on captured starbases Smiley you just wont be able to rebuild alien bases
