pardon?
is that not what it is supposed to say? Do you mean to say it froze at this screen?

Please explain your problem in full: are you able to start a game (instant action or multiplayer)? are you getting any error messages?

If it got to the full screen saying armada II fleetops, then that is victory, not defeat.  Perhaps it didn't freeze, but was just taking a while. If your PC is more than a few years old, FO will use a lot of your system resources.

No  I click on the icon and it it showed one of the 5 difffent symbols  in the center of the screen. then it goes fulll screen with a planet and blue strings coming out then "star Trek armanda II: Fleet Ops flew into the center of the screen then it went black and windows said Armada 2 must close.

If it were me I'd uninstall and reinstall FO, but if something really is wrong I'm sure the talented FO staff can help

Do your specs meet minimum requirements?

Congratulations...you just saw the Intro! After that there should be the main Menu. Never heard of that problem. Try to install it without the intro. I think I remember there was a choice not installing the intro...
just try it...
