Changelog

We are open to questions as always. Just come to the board and ask.

Just three    questions:
-what will the Excelsior II's role be?
-what style of play do the new races have?
-Will the formations have a use or will they be for beauty like in the original A2?

Thx in advance.  Smiley

The Excelsior-II Class is a support cruiser which uses quantum torpedos like the Sovereign Class.

The Noxter Swarm has mostly small vessels and play very aggressive. They also have a nearly complete mobile base.
The Romulan Star Empire has some allround elements and very powerful special abilities. For example they can access a spy network and sabotage vessels.

Formations act like in Armada2. They can be usefull to manage larger fleets.

Federation photon torpedos updated to 'First Contact' style

what exactly does that mean ? Smiley

do you mean the scene when when data launches some torpedos from enterprise on the small warp ship ?
if so, are you sure these torpedos are photon torpedos ? i thought that they were quantum torpedos.....

they had this blue light and quantum torps have blue light..... Wink

Watch the battle against the borg cube in the beginning of the movie.

Lots of photon torpedos are used there, the familiar orange ones, but totally different from the ones in Generations. More or less those torpedoes are "high quality" versions of the ones used in Voyager and DS9.

If you were interested in special effects, filmmaking, computer graphics and design, you would. And I know there are many who do. There are even forums whose only topic is recreating movie props and other things as accurate as possible.

Here is what I did (including the display graphics):

PADD - Personal Access and Display Device

And that's nothing compared to the work of some other fans.

And to make a Star Trek game you have to go into detail to make it accurate, just as the wonderful Fleet Ops crew does! You're doing a great job guys!

Federation photon torpedos updated to 'First Contact' style

Yep, this means we have have replaced the photon torpedos with the one you can see in the battle with the borg cube in First Contact. They are also red but look a bit different.
This change does not affect the game system, it's only a grafical correction.
