Hi guys!

First of all i have to say that your patch is wonderful, but i have got one big problem: When i try to start the game i always get the error: Could not initialize "armada2hook.dll". Before i applied your patch the game started. Afterwards it does not. So i guess it has something to do with the patch. Is there a workaround or any possibility to get the game started?

Thanks and keep it up!

welcome to the forums! Smiley
a few questions first..
what operating system are you using? which directory do you have installed the armada 2 with patch in?
please check if in your directory is a valid "armada2.executable" and "armada2hook.dll"

i thought i would post here instead of making a new topic, i've downloaded and installed the patch, but i get the same error as the first person posted.

Answering Cola's questions im using "vista ultimate" and i have the "armada2hook.dll" in the directory, but the nearest i have to the other one is "armada2.execute" Smiley Help, and thanks! Smiley

welcome to the forums!
oh, yea, i meant armada2.execute Wink
just out of interest, do you have vista's UAC activated?
which ways have you tried to run to start armada2? does it work for you when you run the application by starting it through explorer from your armada directory directly?

thanks! sorry about a late reply, i didnt get the email telling me there was a reply... so i thought the topic was dead...

I have UAC activated... even though it gets slightly annoying i've grown to live with it.

I've tried starting it through double-clicking/right clicking and running as administrator through the explorer, and both dont work Sad

Thanks for your help!

I used to have problems occasionally if I did not right click on the Flops icon and click "run as an administrator". Hope this helps

oh and the armada2.exe process is still running, using just over 4k mem... but nothing happens... it just sits there...
