In Fleet Operations v3 you will no longer be able to build up complete Alien bases once you captured a hostile construction ship. No Romulan would sit willingly on a Klingon bridge. But in exchange you can get a few unique refits of your vessels with alien technology and other improvements. To read more details about Mixed-Tech and Technology trade see this older news post.

Today we want to take a closer look on the Federation Mixed Tech lists. As promised here is the complete list of specials the Federation will get from capturing or trading alien technology. More races to come soon!


Klingon Technology:
  • Newton Class
    + 1 Offensive Value
    + Combat Tractor Beam special ability
     
  • Monsoon Class
    + 2 Offensive Value
    + Proximity Torpedo special energy costs reduced by 50%
     
  • Defiant Class
    + 3 Offensive Value
    + Anti Matter Mines special ability
     


Romulan Technology:
  • Canaveral Class
    + 2 System Value
    + Re-Emitting Energy Source passive ability (change to regenerate special energy while attacking)
    + The Probe special ability does detect cloaked units
     
  • Defiant Class
    + 4 System Value
    + Cloak
     
  • Excelsior II Class
    + 1 Offensive Value
    + 2 System Value
    + Vector Torpedo special ability
     


Dominion Technology:
  • Mandril Class
    + 1 Defensive Value
    + 25 storage capacity
     
  • Akira Class
    + 2 Offensive Value
    + 2 Defensive Value
    + One additional torpedo launcher
     
  • Miranda II Class
    A complete new unit! More details about her will be presented in a future news post!
     


Borg Technology:
  • Monsoon Class
    + 2 Offensive Value
    + 2 Defensive Value
    + 2 System Value
    + Tactical Armor passive ability (reduces damage taken)
     
  • Intrepid Class
    + 3 Offensive Value
    + 3 Defensive Value
    + 3 System Value
    + Graviton Loaded Torpedo special ability (ultra heavy assault torpedo)
     
  • Remore Class
    + 3 Offensive Value
    + 3 Defensive Value
    + 3 System Value
    + Cybernetic Processing passive ability (increases special energy regeneration for every allied Remore with Borg Mixed Tech refit nearby)

Great to see the Miranda included in Flops too

Question though: will these mixed tech options be available to you if your allies are another race?
ie you gain the klingon bonus if your ally is klingon, or do you have to go capture it/swap units?

Yep Smiley There is a special option called technology trade for multiplayer to allow to share the mixed-tech features with your ally. details on this are described in the older Mixed Tech article linked above Smiley

2. if you trade are, are you those technology then lost?

lol, sure you can "trade" with enemies, lol if you include commandeering an enemy construction ship and booking it back to your base, as "trading".
2nd question i dont understand the way you wrote dude

one question i dont think has been asked yet is can you obtain different bonuses at the same time? (ie feds gaining both rommie and klingon mixed tech)

the bonuses are not applied automatically to all starships. that would lead to to heavy influence. you can build an experimental yard from mixed tech where you can get the modified refits. a unit can only have one upgrade set (either avatar boni or one mixed tech refit, not multiple races or avatar boni and mixed tech) Smiley otherwise it would be quite hard to balance the powers of the boni

If you edit the sores code a bit more you will have your own game..... wont you? if you change the UI a bit more and some basic old A2 consepts you wont have to worry ab out copy right.

ok so dose this mean that if you capture a rom builder you can build rom tech as well as this mixed or just mixed or what if you can only build mixed for the  they should be able to use it all haha
