Hey guys, im having a computer issue that i hope some of you can help me with.
i have a Dell Dimension running a AMD sempron and 1gig of ram. it has a Nvidia card on board.
here is my issue, sometimes when i exit a game or program the screen goes blank and wont come back up. the computer dosnt crash mind you. i can open programs and close stuff, and bring up the task manager. i just cant see it.  how do i know that i can open these things you ask? well after i try some things i just hit the power switch, THEN the screen kicks in, i can see all that i have opened and then see it all shut down couse i cant stop the shut down.
Now my laptop did this often but it was no biggie, i just hit the FN+Mon butten and it reset the monitor. dose the desktop have one of them? if not how do i fix this! thanks.

A desktop shouldn't be doing that. Check the power settings and see how quickly the computer is set to sleep, hibernate, etc. I am going to assume this is Vista?

Its XP home Service pack 2. sleep command is 20min. but it dosnt go to sleep, the monitor lite is still green. and it never happens when comming out of sleep just when exiting full screen games,  or some times videos. already tonight it happend twice, and then it did it but half way, i saw my task bar and backdrop but no icons. still could operate it, just could see what i was doing.
