Wonderful job, guys!  Just, wow.

I personally don't really see all that many things to be fixed.  The nacelles, while otherwise being freakishly weird, actually manage to fit the ship, and I thing that the rounded saucer gives homage to other well loved fleet mainstays such as the Galaxy and Sovereign.  I personally think that a triangular or otherwise cornered "saucer" would take away from it's Federation-looking majesty.

All in all, a superb job.  Once again the FO team delivers more than expected!

-edit-

One small thing I noticed, however, is that the window scale, at least to me, gives the impression that it won't be much bigger than the Sovy.  I don't know if that is intentional or not, but I figure I might as well bring it up.

What will be the closest ship in terms of firepower?

The Descent wont be a firepower-unit Smiley it is a unit with many fleet support ability and a hight durability. It will however still feature the dual-quantums and its firepower should be a bit higher then the sovys one Smiley

The old one was indeed kind of.... lame.
This is something totally new. I have to get used to it , especially the heavy looking warpwings.

Because of its massive and heavy look, it pitches out of the common fleet and gives it the feeling of a true battleship. Not like the sovereign class. * Ouu I hope I dont break it*

Now Iam really looking forward to the last big battleships.
Dominion Dreadnaught (my favorit)

And of course the borg, but after I saw the first ship you did .... I am sure the rest of the fleet will look fantastic and terrifying as well. ^^

Those are short burst phaser shots in an attempt to find the scimitar. They are regular phasers, just on probably a lower power setting why searching for the Scimitar.

Most of the abilities the Descent will feature are thematically arranged around the topic "shields" Smiley We are still working on them at the moment, balancing and scripting remains. Most probably she will have a few different "shield patterns" to chose from. The Beta-Pattern is quite fixed already. It will power up all 3 shield layers to maximum, rendering the descent nearly invulnerable to all kind of damage for a short period of time. While in this shield mode she can however not use her weapons.

Sounds like she will be able to break through any kind of defense-line in that time with this special ability.
Do you have plans for an ability which could extend the Descent's shields around about one or two ships flying right next to her? Or something like a shield-recharge?
I'm just too curious

I have to say i think that it looks perfect the way it is, I like the armourd nacells, I like the round section and i hate the idea of a tri saucer as it would look like the time traveling ship. the only thing i would say is it looks like it can seperate like a galaxy can. can it?
