I'm not in the UK.  Would it still work?

I've always wondered if people still fell for these types of scams, and sadly I see the answer seems to be 'yes'. Really, they should name the contest "Enter as many email addresses as you can into my bulk mailer list so I can sell it to spam companies."

Anyone saying they've won anything from these types of "contests" are either paid by the company running the thing or flat out lying.

Of all these "Win a free <popular gadget>" contests that you see, roughly 0.1% of them may actually put out a prize in the end but there are usually very restricting conditions in which to receive the item such as "You must physically come to us and pick it up, and we're on the opposite side of the country/world and you have 3 days to claim the prize or it's forfeit."

But who am I to judge?

Good luck, I suppose.

actually.  they do work.  many times if you read the fine print it will say that you must sign up for a free trial offer to recieve a free"<popular Gadget>".  if you make sure to quit the free trial in time the company is legally bound to provide you with this "popular gadget"(My nieghbor has won a psp and Ipod before)
