In the last picture, what is the green orb thing in the background?

In the last picture, what is the green orb thing in the background?

I assume it's a planet. But I can't tell why it looks so bright.
If there was a sun behind it, I think it would still have to look different. The "orb" as you called it, might even be a darker sun itself.
But maybe it's a totally polluted Borg planet.
Whatever - I like the look!

I do to, I was hoping somebody knew exactly what it was. Oh, well, I'll probably see it again someday Smiley

its a planet covered with water (and underwater vegetation, therefore the green look). would be easier to identify if the only few landmasses weren't on the other side =^^=

Cool!
So, this model seems to be a new one. (Or I never noticed it.) Can we expect more new planetary models in v3? To stay on-topic ( Cheesy ) eg special textures for Borg planets?

Well, maybe rouge Borg map units would be cool.  However, Lore as a unit doesn't make sense considering that he's dead.

I really wonder what the borg will get out of assimilating construction ships...
The entire tech tree of another race?

If the Borg really had the assimilation abilities they are supposed to have, they'd be absolutely unstoppable, whether it's in a game or on TV. Therefore there's no choice but to impose restraints on their strength and abilities. Although I could be wrong here.

Think about it: Each time you assimilate one technology, you improve your ability to assimilate others. The result is a knock-on effect that creates an exponential effect. In fact, the same thing happens today with technology, that's why computer power doubles every 18 months (even this will have to be revised soon). Even in a simple technology simulation (such as a game) this would still be true. In a very sophisticated game the Borg would be so undefeatable that it wouldn't be worth playing.

And that would be the Borg then because they simply assimilate the best tech.
That's the way it works. That's the way things go when super-races have to be defeatable...
