smf has an ipb converter, i already converted the forum content to smf. the problem is that the converter is written for an old version of smf. so i have to install the old version first, convert the stuff from ipb. then upgrade the smf to the newest version. it's a bit complicated. even more complicated as i want to install the joomla->smf bridge too and these database tables are of course not compatible with a non bridge version. so it's quite problematic when i want to keep the old data as basicly i have to start again from the beginning more or less. but i will look into it.  |

On Topic: Hmm i don't really mind if you kill all the posts (should be easier for you, since you don't need to migrate the mySQL data from one DB to the other;
The only thing i would request is, that you keep all the users+their profiles; i don't want to register at yet another forum Ty in advance I dont actually care about my post count. What I dont want to do, however is debate ALL the ideas ALL over again  |
