hi there, im making models for a breen race im making and i followed the big book of modding to a T but no matter what happens it comes out like this

im using max 5 for converting and im using CS2 to do the alpha, i created the alpha by going to channels and creating a new channel which is black and called alpha 1, and then i make the bits white that want to glow but this is what i get?

i have been playing around and basically its making anything thats pure white fulyl see able rahter then illuminate and anything thats not white transparent no matter what shade it is... when i wanted it so that anything that is a shade of white ignores light and so appears to glow like any other model

please any help is welcome and any help appreciated thanks

oh and its the A2 Exporter
