i was just wondering if you plan on supporting VISTA at any point, i have tested stock STA2 on vista and it installs and works fine, but FO crashes on the install, when the Audio decoder comes up it crashes on the "Borg.wav" saying its already in use..
if i copy and paste FO from my XP Partition i get an isntant crash before its even started from vista.

any idea why the game doesn't work on a copy and paste, i got the installation to finish by forcing the decoder to end at the stuck point, then the install continued on as normal, i copy and pasted what was missing after but still an instant crash, oh and im using build 5744 also known as RC2, which is very stable to be honest

Good thing I'm not planning on upgrading my computer 'till Halo 3 comes out for PC (not 2, 3). Or RE4

i hope there is a vista patch or something soon as for me the game doesn't work at all on vista.

i go to start fleet ops and get the error:

Armada 2: Armada2.tgt - Application Error
The instruction at 0x00174a3f referenced memory at 0x00000000.  The memory could not be read.

Click on OK to terminate the program

I've tried reinstalling and have done this on a fresh Vista Ultimate RTM install.  I would try making the armada2.tgt file run in xpsp2 compatiblity mode as it really is an .exe renamed but you can only make .exe files run in xp compatibilty mode. Sad

That's a bummer but it sounds like they're fixing it. Also, there'd be a spam bot in the technical thread's foremost thread if someone didn't post here, and I can't stand 'em.

no worries, the current development build including the decoder now works without any issues under vista rc2 as far as i can see.
also we have advanced armada to be compatible with new vista's uac and of course the new gamebrowser.
