Dose any one know what the dif between Arrais and Banks ar when it comes to Phaser on fed starships? i was thinking that Arras are like the Galaxy class ones  while Banks are more sovy, but i cant figure it out. any relible sorces talk about this? any ideas? it no big thing jsut been buggine me when im trying to type up my specks for the ships i make.

If i can remember correctly

Phaser arrays are the strips that can fire in any direction across the strip


where as banks seem to be able to fire in one direction and seem to run out of energy alot quicker

example

Phaser Array - Galaxy class, Uss Voyager

Phaser Bank - Constitution, Miranda ( like in ST the wrath of Khan

I do remiber Phaser Bank fiering in uther drections. From what have observed is that banks come from a fixed pont wile arrays as 4 of 11 posted are a bit better at being abule to fier in difrect derections.

So phaser Banks are out dated then? and the arrajsut keep getting smaller? the galaxy phaser efect was cool, these two lines coliding in to a beam, then they got rid of it, i assumed new tec.
