Can someone please reply or pm me explaining how i can run fleet ops beta 3  pr without having to have the cd in my dvd drive?  I only have one drive and its very irritating having to take whatever is in there out to put the armada 2 disc in to play.

and after reading the other no-cd topic yes i bought the game from a Wal-Mart in Spartenburg, SC near the mall there for $20 in 2003.

thanks!

huh umm, if you have the CD then what is really the problem? is it not working with it in the drive?
tbh, if it is just irritating having to change the disk when you want to play it, then that really isnt cause for complaint, since you have to do that with practically everything.

in short: armada2.exe is named armada2.tgt in fleet operations

in long: you could download a nocd patch for armada 2 patch 1.1 and rename the included armada2.exe to armada2.tgt.
then backup armada2.tgt in your fleet operations folder. copy the tgt file you just renamed from the patch archive to the fleet operations directory and you should be done.

now to the problem with that: you cannot play with anyone who is not using the exact same nocd crack as you use as the crc32 check made for online games involves also checking the executable file for inconsistencies. so don't wonder if you have problems playing online with others then. This is only possible with a working cd(-image).
