Hey...I've seen some other threads talk about different networking issues, but nothing really like what's happening to my brother and I.

So, we both have Armada II. We both have Fleet Ops (same versions, yes Smiley . When we go to multiplayer, if either one of us tries to host, the game comes back with:

"Cannot connect to the LAN via TCP/IP."

"Cannot connect to the LAN via IPX."

"Cannot connect to Manual IP."

"Could not connect to a Gamespy Server."

Now, I have no idea why it would do this. Every other part of the game works fine. We're connected to the Internet, I opened all the ports the troubleshooting asked me to, and I'm completely out of ideas. Anybody's help or input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

warp: No, I don't. :-/ I use AVG and Windows Firewall, and Windows already knows not to touch it.

baron: Thanks. Smiley

I can't think of what firewall would be doing it. Or rather, what I haven't done to the firewall to allow it.

exactly the same as me Cheesy
if you cant connect by manual IP, then there must be something wrong with your install, try reinstalling from fresh.

hmm you could try the following:

start->run->enter cmd
a black window will appear: enter now ping " "(space) and then the IP adress of your friend; if it says timeout something on the way from your PC to your friends one is blocking you!
