Hi,

I want to know how or if there is anyway, edit registry new file , patch or any way to set the resolution of ST Armada 2 to 1280x1024, I and all ATi users can set it to 1280x960, but on all nvidia cards , we can set the resolution to 1280x1024 with no problem,
(the option to set the resoltion in the graphics section)  any help

waiting ur reply

thanks

there is no known possible way to accomplish that. the only thing i know is that it has not always worked but with one of the newer nvidia drivers that were made available.
i have tried several methods with one ati user over instant messenger but we couldn't find a solution also. a possibility is to contact ati and ask for a solution directly.

Thanks for your reply,

And for all working in this project

All the luck

is there a way to add a command to the shortcut of the game to force it to use this resolution ( many games work with this way), and what that command should be, like

"C:\Program Files\Activision\Star Trek Armada II" -1280x1024, this is an example

As already mentioned I have the same problem with my Nvidia card.
Another resolution that does not work is 1280 x 960 (ATI Mobility RADEON X600 SE).
FO looks a bit stretched for me...

I use the latest drivers available. So I think I shouldn't have this problem - but I do...

1280x1024 is what mine is on by default, (i.e. without me changing anything). never had any problems before

yes, there is an undocumented command line parameter available

Code:
usage:
-res [width] [height] -bpp [color depth]

example:
-res 1280 1024 -bpp 32

but it seems to keeps resetting the resolution to 800x600x16 if an invalid/unsupported resolution was entered

edit: what i had in theory was if there is an 1280x960 mode supported in the drivers, armada 2 prefers that mode OVER 1280x1024, as i cannot choose 1280x960 in my display settings but only 1280x1024.
maybe if someone kills 1280x960 out of their directx supported resolutions list, it *may* work.

i used directx control panel that is included in the directx 9 sdk to read the supported resolutions for directdraw. a standalone version can be downloaded here

Well

I will try to kill this resolution, and see if I will be able to use 1280x1024

Many thanks
