ur dyslexic so obviously ur at a disadvantage with computers and ur thick as a plank sometimes so the blue screens u've had are ur fault, but u can't help ur dyslexia. and u are a fcuking arsewipe, ur sayin u've been given the facts that PCs are ****, right ok fine ur statement has been noted. now look at another fact - a fcuking huge minority prefer PCs. like me. and u. bet ur using a pc now! another fact - pc's are easier to upgrade. a mac wud probably struggle to cope after a few years and the solution wud be to replace it. expensive. a pc - replace certain components if needed. another fact for u - alienware are dodgy

edit - by pc's i mean the window's operating system.

How lital we know my dislexica helps me understand computers beater so I am a avatege.

Frodo and you cant help being unegucated.

Thats be cuss the goverment invested in that and made tham the indestry standerd. When all the people how worked for the govment came home thay felt more cofterbule with a PC so thats what thay got and from thare on out thay spred.

Bill gates is a beter business man than steev jobes but steev jobs cares more about the consumer.

Achaly mac are as easy to upgrade as PCs sens the bace hardwhare is very simaler.

what are you brabeling about 64 bit colors? hä!? All new CPU, now use a 64 bit width bus-system and 64bit width Registers!!! AND all new mac's Shipped out are using Intel CPU's-> you could run M$ Windoof(WinStupid aka Windows) on them too. 64. bit Colors are prob. a Graphics Card feature. Now to Alienware: Going and buy any PC there is ridiculous, because you're paying extra for the brand "Alienware".

AND FINALLY: STOP THAT ******* HOLY WAR; LEAVE THAT FOR THE WINDOWS vs. MAC NEWSGROUPS-> THIS TOPIC IS SO ANNOYING!

****, I wish I could be a Malkavian (wtf, I can't even write |)4mn Huh?) Crap

Well windows XP duss not have 64 bit color and we will see if thay put it in vista.

MAC has had 64 bit color for a long time now and PC has ben staying at 32 bit color.

Its all up to the windows people to see if thay put it in. I was looking at the reqierments of vista VS OSx vista has 2x the need of MAC OSx Windows have all ways systom hogs.

ok 64 bit depths to display colours? Do you know a good crt (Classical PC Screen) with that high quality to display that color depth properly? Oh and this topic started with Alienware, not with  M$ versus Apple

The Topic Vista is another one; I say that 50% of the System minimum specs are swallowed by Aero-glass-stuff(crap) and a large overhead to create a colorful Teletubbie OS for the typical Soccermom and her kids    :->
And yes the hardware minimum specs for Vista are ridicolous and insane, especially that the DirectX 9 GPU is just used for irrelevant eye candy stuff (aero); hmm Marketing and "Style" made their way into the geek-universe; hooray :->

Please understand my opinion about that boring holy/flame war between Windows and OS X. Mac PC's are perfect for people who work with graphics and videos, ok. but this endless discussion are just boring and annoying.

Btw, its not MS (Who calls tjem M money any more honestly) versus apple, it spawned into Macintosh computers versus PCs.

Ewm, we are not saying that is a photoshopted image because we dont like it, we are calling it photoshoped because that is a windows 9x (ie 95,98,ME) Blue screen of death. Not an NT one, such as NT, XP, Server 2003, Vista.

please continue this thread on the mac vs PC issue in this thread, http://forum.fleetops.net/index.php?act=ST&f=8&t=2610

When ever you pile oprating systoms on top of one a nuther like pan cakes you are going to have probloms lets see how meny we are up to now:

doss
3.1
95
98
NT
ME
XP
Vista

Its not looking good for pcs....

Good thing mac was smart and did not do this insted thay let you loch a older coppy of MAC os to run older apps that runs as a program.

PC is going down one OS at a time.
let's bring clarity in your writing, shall we?

so dos and 3.1 are close relatives (win 3.1 doesn't run without dos)
win 95 based on the win 3.1 correct the same applies to win 98 in parts

NT my frind is the left over OS/2
and all the other OS are based on NT (2000, XP AND Vista)
ME is ******* of both; If your writing stuff stick to the facts you know;

****, now i contributed to the war again, f0ck! wth I can't even write dam(n)!!
and please stop cursing and b1tching at each other ?(correct sentence)? I think there are better ways to express that you disagree with someone not "You're such an idiot"

Apple pricing is reciculous, me and my buddy made a comp that had:
an FX-62

4gb of ram, 800mhz ddrII

3TB of hard drive space at 7200RPM (4 750GB seagate drives)

300GB of HD space at 10k RPM (2 Raptor-X drives)

4x Sony DVD+-RW DL

1x sound blaster audigy x-fi platinum (with the drive bay thing)

2x XFX GeForce 7950 GX2 Dual GPU 520M Xtreme / 1GB GDDR3 / SLI / PCI Express / Dual DVI / HDTV / Video Card

a $300 UPS

a $100 case

a $240 Power Supply, 660watt

a like $220 mobo

and it came in like $200-400 less than the apple with the Quadro FX 4500, 512mb, 4 gb of ram (667mhz ddrII), 2TB of hd space, standard proc setup, 2x super drives or what ever.

Wich comp would you guys rather have, ohh yah... The PC had a fire wire card and gigabit lan came on the mobo...

@ ewm

I dont know why you say that XP doesnt run 64 bits. Most XP OS are 32 bit but if you have the hardware (more on that in a sec) you can buy and run a 64 bit version of XP.
The hardware for 64 bit processing is so expensive and new right now that most people who buy a computer are not going to opt for that.

Now I agree/disagree with you a little bit about a Mac. My grandmother used the same Mac for 9 years ( 1996 - 2005 ) and then finally bought an XP based laptop and had no problem with ease of use. Macs do last a long time if cared for properly.
