So how'd you manage to keep the Breen and still have the cardies: did you just make an extra copy of the breen? ...perhaps you'd care to share this accomplishment with the rest of flops *hint, hint, nudge, nudge*

Okay, here's the story of things I did to FO V3PR :-D
I started with forcing FO to time-travel back to the Dominion War, so the Cardies could still be part of the Dominion. (Maybe I should just not have watched the last season of DS9 right before

)
If my harddrive hadn't crashed in the meantime I could tell you pretty detailed what I did. Now it's an exercise in remembering that stuff..
Well, then I decided that I didn't like the Bomber that much and replaced it with the Hideki-Fighter. I decided the same for the heavy cruiser (If this is the only unit built in the large yard which doesn't need a prototype.) and the battle cruiser which I replaced by the Galor and Keldon.
I arranged the build-buttons to avoid having cardie-ships spread over the list and I put them together.
It worked that way then:
Avatar Dominion Pure Tech:
The Hideki-Fighter (which came instead of the Bomber) was buildable right from the start. But it was weaker than the Bug but a bit cheaper, too.
The Galor-Class was buildable right after you had the Large Yard. You needed at least one Galor to be able to build the Keldon-Class.
Dominion Pure Tech had an extra-upgrade available for the Galor and Keldon Class then, which needed to be researched - instead of the fighters, which were out of the game because the battle-cruiser was no longer available. I called that upgrade "Obsidian Order Refit". When these refits were available you could - guess what... - refit your Galors and Keldons which was quite expensive but usefull. I gave the Galor-Obsidian-Order-Refit some kind of ECM-ability like the Remoore. The Keldon-class got something called "Plasma Bank Overload" which affected the targeted ship like the Ferengi weapon.
The ship stats were also upgraded if you used the refit. But the Cardies were always weaker than the strongest Dominion-vessel.
That's what my Cardies looked like in Pure Tech - thanks to Overlord/Zeichs great work without I couldn't have done that. I don't have any idea about modelling at all.

Breen Avatar:
The Cardies were also availabe while playing the Breen. The idea was basically the same and the same ships were replaced by Cardassian ones but the Obsidian Order Refits were not available. The reason was, that the Cardies didn't like the Breen that much and the Obsidian Order wouldn't see a reason to support Breen-lead-fleets with top-secret-technology. So the Cardies were quite weak here but pretty cheap. I wouldn't talk about Galor/Keldon-spam but if your economy was very fine.. you could have if you wanted to.

So, it featured the three above mentioned quite balanced Cardassian ships for both Dominion-Avatars and "new" special abilities for them.
One thing I worked at right before the crash were the appropriate voice-overs. That's something I have to confess, I got stuck with

But I disliked a Galor with a Jem'Hadar-Commander that much that I wouldn't have stopped trying to add voice-overs until it would have been a Cardassian voice.

That's what I did. That's what is lost.
But maybe I'll build it up again.
But I have to say, too, that there are still no intentions to publish this mod for the mod.
While modding the Cardies into the Dominion I learned that much about odf-editing and all the text-coding which FO is based on and I know I didn't even scratch the surface - it's incredible what the FO-team does here!

Again: Big thanks to Overlord/Zeich! Without his work I wouldn't have been able to do this and I have to add: I'm looking really forward to see his Cardie-ships in FO some day!
