Hi,

U guys know the part where Angie blows this flower petal and the time slows down. Picard also does this when he and Angie are in the caves and it caves in. Picard manages to slow down the time and hold on to the moment so that Angie doesn't die and Worf and Data can come through to rescue them.

Well can anyone describe whats actually going on.... Also is this ability specific to the planet?? or is it another mind over matter thing??

I think it has to do with the radiation making people use whats around them through some unknown abilities that resulted from the metaphasic radiation.

I have an answer to all of these questions - Rick Berman at his finest.  I know Jonathan Frakes directed the film, but Rick Berman still had his slimy hands as usual into the film making it, in my opinion, a "disasterpiece."  I personally was not impressed with Insurrection.  It lacked the flavor that a Star Trek FILM usually would have.  It was like another episode of ST: TNG and not a Star Trek FILM.  I know I'm going off topic, but the same went for Nemesis.

2) he doesnt, but picard was going there anyway, so he hitched a ride

3)dont know

4)a joystick offers more direct control than a few buttons, it allows for direct input

5)he did, by removing the memory thingys that were damaged, data went back to normal

Concerning the sexual frustration, I think it was just another storyline to entertain people or Riker wanted the real thing if you know what I mean.

I think its a mind over matter thing that can be performed anywhere at any given time.. though I think the planet somehow made it easyer to perform.

4) Well uhhhh.. to reinforce what was said before.. lets give you mario kart.. and lets also give you buttons that set headings... other buttons that set speed.. and no control pad or anything. This would probably be alot more difficult. The federation forsaw that the new sovereign class ship would be employed in combat situations more often, so they made combat easyer. They also did this imo to reduce the time it would take to bark an order and wait for someone to plug in a few key combinations. This way, you can simply use the joy stick to move around.. a side button for phasers and a side button for torpedos xD...

5) He did, while data was incapacitated, or in his sense deactivated.
